I know I can trust these people do help pay my credit card debt? How do I know that this is not a scam?

Stay away from debt consolidation "company that promises to reduce your debt by half through a debt settlement .... This is a risky tactic, deliberately stop all payments to creditors and force your accounts defaulted attempt colonies. You pay a monthly subscription to a debt consolidator .... this entire fee goes toward the construction of a settlement account and fees for consolidator to "settle" your account at future. Your credit card companies will deliberately not be paid so that all accounts will default / removed so they can attempt colonies around 50%. If you're up to date on your accounts, this process will be the ruin of your credit rating for you. Debt settlement is like a roll of the dice with your finances ... You can never predict how your creditors failed to respond deliberately to your accounts ... they could settle 50% ... or they can serve you a summons you to court ... and if they win, you might think of a garnishment of wages.

None of these debt consolidation "companies have the power to force creditors to accept a settlement. Your creditors have the right to refuse these terms and you take him to court.

Why would you trust someone else to do something you can do for you? These people will charge you before muscular and probably screw your credit worse than it already is. They also will not miraculously cure your credit problems. Your report will still look the same, if not worse and your wallet will be much lighter after paying their dues.

Do not hire a company that will settle your debt * credit card. If you're really in a desperate situation, with a pitch for the agency to use credit counseling. They will not charge you, put you on a budget with your creditors and you get in a plane where you have your debt paid in a fixed amount of years.

Most debt settlement companies are scams. They take your money and leave all your accounts go 90 days late. Then they make lowball settlement offers. Not only that trash your credit, but many credit card companies refuse to play immediately and sue you. The settlement company will not help the prosecution.

If you want to pay money for them from the start, it's a scam. They are not able to do anything you can not do it yourself on your credit. (There is something they can do for you that you can not do for you, but that's another story)
