I desperately need a car but have no money for it and cannot get a loan? I am 19 and I need a car to make me go back and forth between work and school. However, I have no money for one and can not afford a loan, my parents refuse to buy mine, and I am simply! = [
I really need a car soon because I'm going to college in an area where no public transport. So if anyone has any suggestions for organizations that donate used cars in Maryland / Washington, DC, please let me know! Thank you.
Welcome to the real world! To get something you must work for it.
Go get a job. You can buy an old beater on Craigslist any time you want for $ 500. Then you need a cash reserve for insurance, gas and maintenance.
In the meantime, bike, walk or carpool with a friend. If you choose to carpool, you need to help pay for gas. Since you left the university, find a location near campus so you do not need to drive.
I'm sure there are some places in your area who donate cars, but usually only for single parent families struggling to make ends meet. I do not think they will donate a car to a 19 year old. You are still young and healthy, they'll say "You can not ride a bike" or "save money" I do not think that there are organizations that can help you. If you can not afford a car now, how will you pay insurance, gas, repairs, etc.? Not that you can do. Sorry
