Centerpoint Apartments Anyway for us to know when the power is back in Friendswood because of Hurricane Ike? Any ideas on how we can know if the power is back in our apartment complex in Friendswood (SE Houston area)? Centerpoint I say will not be able to answer these questions because of 2 + million without electricity. Centerpoint says it will take an average of two weeks to get the power up and operation of most households. Some will be happier and have feeding problems that are simple to remedy, what their power will be restored soon. Then there are those in rural areas where infrastructure has been destroyed. They are those who must wait longer than normal, perhaps even a month. The provider is Friendswood Texas New Mexico Power. Visit their site www.TNPE.com. They have updated the number of customers with power restored. As of September 15 8 am CDT all Friendswood was still in power. You can also try calling your voicemail if you have one. good luck with that one, I live near downtown Houston and it took 2 days for power to be restored, there are still vast areas of my neighborhood (Eastwood, 2nd Ward) who are in darkness, the speed of restoration depends on the damage to the lines, where any downed or damaged wires in transformers in my area who does things quickly, but Friendswood had a lot of trees knocked down power lines will take some time, I figure at least one week. Here is a link from Channel 13 about power outages and when things could be restored: I wish I knew what to say, but when the power in New Orleans was out, we have seen over there to check a few days later and remained in contact with neighbors Check http://AboutHurricaneIke.com for more information on Hurricane Ike.
