Debtor Finance Can a finance company to continually call third parties or references to information about a debtor? finance company through Oak Motors. My brother is 1 month late .. arrangements to pay the amount in 3 days. They continue to call my mother and me brother to get ahold of my brother. My stepmother has been used as a reference that my brother actually had a job ... nothing else. They continue to call her and say they are trying to get Ahold of me. I am not a co-signer or anything on it just another reference. There is no reason for them to continue to seek arrangements as it has done with them. She is visually impaired and who said this lady, she can not take my number to call and she refuses to give him my phone number. Is it fair for them to do. We asked them not to call. I think your brother does not tell you the truth about how he is far behind in payments or arrangement made by him to pay. legitimate financing companies do not spend much time and money to hunt down someone who is only a month late.
