When you are on the Equifax website where do you click to get your credit report for free? You can get your credit report in these places, but they are so confused:
www.annualcreditrepot.com
http://www.ftc.gov/credit/
www.equifax.com
In fact, the person above is incorrect. The legislation was passed last year to allow consumers to access their credit report for free through their website sponsored http://www.annualcreditreport.com . It is quite explicit. On the homepage, you'll have to choose your state from the dropdown menu. Once you do, it will require some basic information from you to confirm your identity. But do not worry, you will not complete the credit card entry. Once you enter your information, it will give you the opportunity to choose one of the reports of the Bureau of 3 credits. You can get one from each credit bureau every year. Some people choose to get both to compare, or you can choose one at a time to be staggered over the year. Simply choose whether Equifax is the one you are currently searching. It may ask you to verify certain accounts from your record, to continue to verify your identity, then you will be able to access it instantly. Good luck!
here is the link Equifax and accurate information to see if you can get your free annual report.
Hope this helps

Usually, you can not get the report online for free. You must call Equifax and ask for a phone or in writing. You are allowed one free report a year and a free report at any time you were denied credit and letter of refusal indicates that they used a credit agency to determine the miscarriage. Beware of all enterprises without a credit report that you sign up for their credit monitoring service. They say its free for the first 30 days, but they make it difficult to cancel at this time. You ha.
