I looked but did not find the specific answer to this Yahoo! Answers section. Anyway, my question concerns the rupture of a residential lease. I am currently halfway through a one-year lease apartment (in California).

I have no problem whatsoever with the owner, staff, or neighbors. My friend, who is a real estate agent advised me to buy a condo, as would be the same monthly mortgage payment that my rental of an apartment in progress. Considering how property prices can fluctuate, and how expensive it is here in the Bay Area, he found me several condos at an incredible value that I can handle.

So my question is, what kind of sanctions can be expected? I have no problem having to leave my security deposit or pay the rent for another month, as the rules are the rules and yet, I had no problem whatsoever with the owner or staff and do not want bad feelings.
