TruganinaWestern Suburbs of Melbourne?

In your opinion of the western suburbs of Melbourne, both the northwest and southwest, which would you rather live? area that is Nice?

Northwest includes: Deerpark, Burnside, Caroline Springs, Cairnlea, Kings Park, Delahey, St Albans, Taylors Hill, Taylors Lakes, Sydenham, Hillside.

South-West includes: Laverton, Point Cook, Altona, Hoppers Crossing, Werribee, WhyndamVale, Tarneit, Truganini

I lived in one of each - Sunshine Meadows and Altona, and both have their ups and downs.

Sunshine has got itself a bad reputation and being so close to the city (I used to be able to see the city of my second story window), he brings a few idiots and a lot of drugs but it depends on the street and how much you're near downtown and the actual station.
Conversely, I work in the city and it is so much faster to travel to and from work daily.

Altona Meadows is supposed to be a quiet, elderly people, but I've been here for 8 years and then returned 6 months ago and I must say that I think Altona Meadows may be worse than the sun!
Our big problem is hoons, many P Platers to burnout, drag racing and generally being nuisances.
I recently had to deal with my neighbor about pumping techno music in his car when he comes home at 1am on a weeknight that I have to get up at 6am and I think it is simply unacceptable Noise!
Intended to go out and build our first house soon and were more likely to search Tarneit or estate news Whyndam Vale - lakes Whyndam is abit further, but we feel we must move away from the youth dominated suburbs of the west and somewhere you can feel safe and comfortable.

Areas such as Werribee and Laverton would be a bit too far to be considered Western Suburbs, while people are commuting to Melbourne from these areas every day.

Northwest namely Sydenham - Taylors Lakes area is really nice. It is brand new, with all facilities, a variety of styles houseing, many schools, churches, a good rail link to Melbourne, and there's huge shopping and Watergardens.

Most of the suburbs that you mentioned are on the outskirts of Melbourne. The only perhaps still considered among the most notorious' Western Suburbs are St Albans, Altona.

The entire region is now about to be considered 'trendy'.

HI and Southwest has its good points, but more expensive and closer to Melbourne to live oh yeah!

Considering that the Northwest is not much cheaper and it is good to live so I guess u need to shop around to get feel a™¥ etc.

NW live in, work in SW, on both counts, is what I love about this country, opportunity, lol.

Northwest: Caroline Springs

South West: Wyndham Vale

Williamstown Newport or because they are within the city of the western suburbs and there is a great community
